A Glass Of Wine

Senator Padme Amidala is a most impressive woman I find.

We are talking over a glass of wine.

"Senator.." I start to say.

"Oh, call me Padme" she replies, "All my friends do that. May I call you Jean-Luc?"

"But of course" I reply, "Such a pity we are not on the same team."

"I agree, Jean-Luc, we would be most formidable"

We discuss the merits of each of our teams, and who might be the weaknesses. Remarkably, we agree. This is a fine intellectual woman. It is little wonder that she is a Senator. If she were an Admiral in Starfleet, she would make it even better.

"It seems like we're having having 'Vainquer' as our team name, as it means 'conquest'" I inform her.

"Very interesting" she replies, "Better then 'The Winning Team'"

"Here's to victory, Padme" I say as we clink our glasses.

"To victory, Jean-Luc." she replies.

Charles, I will not tolerate any rumor-spreading in this competition! I went through enough of that on Big Brother: Naboo. Jean-Luc and I are just, like, kindred spirits or something. Just friends. K?

This is nice that a friendhsip like this has sparked. Padme can take Jean Luc shopping and Jen Luc can play his flute to Padme in a ventilation duct.

And if you would prefer The Chosen Ones, that's fine with me. I suppose Tak is right, they are both equally pretentious.

What kind of wine ? You can tell alot about a persons choice of wine !

For example : I think even though he is from a family who had a vinyard, jean-luc is probably a closet " Strawberry Hills " Kinda guy .

It's kind of hard to tell Tak with that helmet on. And if Jean-Luc wants to swap, that would be fine with me.

As Padme says, Professor, we are just good friends, having a chat together. Though we are on different sides, we have a kinship.

Local Henchman, Magdelena, do not cast aspersions. I am on your team to win!
